Workshops and Classes planned for fall, 2008
These are private or very small classes geared to getting you up and running in no time!

SCANNING YOUR IMAGES
Do you have paper prints of favorite photos, memories, etc??
Scanning enables us to digitize our old 35 mm photos so we can crop, resize and color balance. I can help you convert these into digital images that you can color correct, enlarge and print.

DIGITAL PHOTO I
Photography
This 2 hour class focuses on getting you prepared to see and capture great photographs. A large part of being prepared involves understanding your camera well enough to capture the moment.
We learn about cameras, resolution, pixels, Jpg and tiffs, and the way this new technology works.
Learn to use the new ‘digital darkroom’
Small class, lots of individual instruction, assignments. ( Max 4 students!)
Thursday October 23rd, 10 am – 12 noon.
Bring camera, manual and notebook with pencil.


DIGITAL PHOTO II
Photography
Concepts of photography are the underlying principles that apply regardless of the camera you are using. They include such things as Composition, light, how sharpness and exposure affect your images and the way they are perceived by viewers. Open up your eyes to the visual possibilities of the medium!
Small class, lots of individual instruction, assignments ( Max 4 students)

GETTING STARTED WITH PHOTOSHOP:
I TEACH a 3-hour, cut-to-the-chase course in how to do the things everyone needs to be able to do in Photoshop —easier and more quickly than you ever thought possible. Geared to any version Photoshop including CS3 and Elements.
I've been working with Photoshop since version 1.0 and you just learn a lot of real-world stuff after 15 or so years.
Photoshop is ‘the’ photo manipulation program
Thursday, November 6th, 10 am – 12 noon
Small class, lots of individual instruction, assignments ( Max 4 students)
Bring laptop with Photoshop installed.
